In the Arts Workshop there's this new "fashion" of painting the hands, not as usual on one side to place it in a painting, but on both sides... the children seem to wear gloves. It all started with Ricardo - 4y (at the time, he turned 5y recently) and little by little it spread to Carlota, Raquel and a lot of others...
I acknowledge that children have this need of touching and feeling with their hands. And it is really a need. Sometimes they spend a lot of time just feeling paint an clay in their own hands.... I simply let and encourage them, because this is crucial for their development.

Of course, there are the big ones too, but they are always searching for something more exciting... like Lia, who became an Avatar!!

Na Oficina de ARTES há uma espécie de "moda" nova de pintar as mãos, não como habitual, de um lado para depois colocar na pintura, mas dos dois lados... as crianças parecem ter luvas. Tudo começou com o Ricardo - 4 anos (agora já com 5) e aos poucos foi-se espalhando pela Carlota, pela Raquel e a muitos outros...
Reconheço a necessidade das crianças de tocar e sentir com as suas mãos. E isto é uma necessidade real. Por vezes passam muito tempo apenas a sentir a tinta ou o barro nas suas próprias mãos... e eu simplesmente deixo-os e encorajo-os a fazer isso, pois sei que é crucial para o seu bom desenvolvimento.
Depois, claro, há os meninos grandes, esses estão sempre à procura de algo mais desafiante... como a Lia, que se transformou em Avatar!!
